These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rise Again Support Line website, support sessions, and related services. By booking or participating in a Rise Again Support Line session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the applicable policies referenced below.

1. Age Requirement

Rise Again Support Line services are available only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

By booking or participating in a support session, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

2. Nature of Rise Again Services

Rise Again Support Line provides non-clinical emotional support in a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where adults can talk, feel heard, and receive supportive conversation.

Rise Again does not provide psychotherapy, professional counseling, medical or psychiatric care, diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, or other licensed professional services.

Use of Rise Again services does not establish a therapist-client, physician-patient, or other licensed healthcare-provider relationship.

Rise Again services should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or other appropriate care.

3. Not a Crisis or Emergency Service

Rise Again Support Line is not a crisis hotline or emergency service and does not provide emergency or crisis intervention.

If you are experiencing an immediate emergency or believe that you or another person may be in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency services.

If you are experiencing a mental health or suicide-related crisis in the United States, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

If concerns arise during a session that are outside the scope of Rise Again's non-clinical services, Rise Again may pause or end the session and encourage you to contact an appropriate crisis, healthcare, mental health, or community resource.

4. Booking and Payment

Support sessions are offered in available 30-, 45-, and 60-minute appointment options.

Appointments are subject to availability and must be booked through the approved Rise Again booking process.

Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise expressly stated.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Wix Payments and PayPal.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, Refunds, and No-Shows

Rise Again maintains a separate Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Clients are generally required to provide at least 12 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, no-shows, and other refund or rescheduling matters are handled according to the Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy in effect at the time of booking.

6. Late Arrival

Clients who arrive late may use the remaining portion of their scheduled appointment.

Sessions will generally end at the originally scheduled time so that other appointments and commitments are not affected.

A late arrival does not ordinarily qualify the client for additional time, a partial refund, or a rescheduled session.

7. Client Conduct

Rise Again is committed to providing a respectful and safe environment.

Clients must communicate and behave respectfully during all interactions with Rise Again.

Rise Again may immediately end a session for behavior including, but not limited to:

  • Threats or intimidation

  • Harassment or abusive behavior

  • Discriminatory or hateful conduct directed toward the support provider

  • Repeated violation of established boundaries

  • Stalking or threatening communications

  • Sexual harassment or sexually inappropriate conduct

  • Other behavior that creates an unsafe, hostile, or inappropriate environment

Depending on the circumstances, Rise Again may decline future bookings from individuals who violate these expectations.

8. Sexual Misconduct & Inappropriate Conduct

Rise Again Support Line maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and lewd or sexually inappropriate behavior during support sessions.

Rise Again sessions are not sexual services and may not be used for sexual gratification or sexually explicit interaction with a Rise Again support provider.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Engaging in sexual activity or masturbation during a session

  • Exposing intimate body parts during a video-based interaction

  • Making sexual advances toward, propositions to, or sexually harassing the support provider

  • Directing sexually explicit comments, requests, gestures, or behavior toward the support provider

  • Requesting participation in sexual conversation, role-play, or sexual activity

  • Using a support session for sexual gratification

  • Sending unsolicited sexually explicit images, videos, recordings, messages, or other material

  • Repeatedly redirecting a conversation toward sexual interaction after a boundary has been established

Clients may discuss sexuality, relationships, intimacy, sexual health, trauma, abuse, or other sensitive experiences when genuinely seeking emotional support. Discussion of these subjects does not itself violate this policy.

The restriction applies to sexual conduct directed toward the support provider or use of Rise Again services for sexual purposes.

Rise Again may immediately terminate a session without warning when prohibited sexual conduct occurs.

A session terminated because of sexual misconduct, harassment, or prohibited sexual behavior is not eligible for a refund or rescheduling credit.

Rise Again may also refuse future services and restrict future bookings following a violation.

9. Recording and Reproduction

Rise Again does not audio- or video-record support sessions.

Clients may not record, reproduce, livestream, broadcast, publish, or distribute a Rise Again session without prior written permission from Rise Again Support Line.

10. Right to Decline or Discontinue Services

Rise Again reserves the right to decline, discontinue, or limit services when reasonably appropriate, including when:

  • A client's needs are outside the scope of non-clinical emotional support

  • Professional, clinical, crisis, or emergency services would be more appropriate

  • A client repeatedly violates boundaries or policies

  • A client engages in prohibited conduct

  • Continuing the service relationship presents safety or operational concerns

When appropriate, Rise Again may encourage the individual to seek another resource better suited to their needs.

11. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Rise Again Support Line seeks to provide compassionate and meaningful emotional support.

However, individual experiences vary.

Rise Again does not guarantee any particular emotional, personal, relationship, health, or other outcome from participating in a support session.

Clients remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, and choices following a session.

12. Privacy and Limited Service Records

Collection and use of personal information are governed by the Rise Again Support Line Privacy Policy.

Rise Again may maintain limited service information, including contact information, a brief overview of a session, and documentation of relevant safety concerns when applicable.

Rise Again's services are non-clinical, and these limited service records are not represented as psychotherapy or clinical treatment records.

13. Communications

Clients may receive service-related email or text communications concerning bookings, confirmations, reminders, scheduling changes, and other matters necessary to provide Rise Again services.

Booking a session does not automatically enroll a client in unrelated promotional or marketing communications.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original materials made available through Rise Again Support Line—including website content, written materials, worksheets, guides, journals, eBooks, graphics, branding, and other original resources—remain the intellectual property of Rise Again Support Line or the applicable rights holder.

Materials provided for personal use may not be copied, reproduced, resold, republished, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Purchase or access to a Rise Again resource does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

15. Third-Party Services

Rise Again may use third-party services for website hosting, scheduling, payments, communications, analytics, and other business functions.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and privacy practices.

Rise Again is not responsible for third-party systems or services outside its reasonable control.

16. Website Availability

Rise Again makes reasonable efforts to maintain its website and booking services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

Website functionality or appointment availability may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical problems, third-party outages, or circumstances outside Rise Again's reasonable control.

17. Limitation of Services

Rise Again services are provided for general non-clinical emotional support.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rise Again Support Line is not responsible for decisions or actions independently taken by clients based on or following a support conversation.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

18. Changes to These Terms

Rise Again Support Line may update these Terms periodically as services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements change.

The current version will be posted on the Rise Again website with an updated effective date.

Continued use of Rise Again services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the Terms applicable to subsequent use of the services.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
